2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Kevin Michael Click of Wonder Lake, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on August 1, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Kevin Click was born in Chicago to Edward and | ||||||
6 | Virginia (Serowka) Click on December 26, 1951; he received his | ||||||
7 | Bachelor of Arts from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb | ||||||
8 | and his master's degree from Walden University; he married | ||||||
9 | Patricia Wienrich at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in | ||||||
10 | Crystal Lake on July 14, 1979; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Kevin Click enjoyed a 26-year career with School | ||||||
12 | District 36, where he was an art teacher at Harrison Elementary | ||||||
13 | School; he was active with the Environmental Club, the Art | ||||||
14 | Club, and the Chess Club; he was in charge of the school's | ||||||
15 | Prairie Garden for many years; prior to that, he was employed | ||||||
16 | for 13 years as a supervisor for a company that manufactured | ||||||
17 | computer tape for the government; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Kevin Click volunteered for the McHenry County | ||||||
19 | Conservation District as a bluebird monitor for 22 years; he | ||||||
20 | also volunteered at the Volo Bog State Natural Area for bird | ||||||
21 | walks and with the Youth Art Guild; he served as a bluebird, | ||||||
22 | owl, and sand hill crane monitor for the Illinois Department of |

1 | Natural Resources and participated in Fox Waterway cleanup | ||||||
2 | activities; he was a member of the McHenry County Audubon | ||||||
3 | Society, the Illinois Audubon Society, and the Lake County | ||||||
4 | Astronomical Society; and | ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Kevin Click enjoyed visiting Glacier National | ||||||
6 | Park in Montana; he loved the Siberian Husky dog breed; he | ||||||
7 | enjoyed raising them and managed his own dogsled team for many | ||||||
8 | years; he was a fan of Frank Zappa and was an avid reader; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Kevin Click was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
10 | and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Kevin Click is survived by his wife of 38 years, | ||||||
12 | Patricia; his children, Kane (Michelle) Click, Sean Click, Egan | ||||||
13 | Click, and Sheridan Click; his grandson, Achim; his brothers, | ||||||
14 | Dan Click, Brian (Regina) Click, and Ted (Barb) Click; and his | ||||||
15 | sister, Kathi (Bill) Hladik; therefore, be it

16 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
17 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
18 | Kevin Michael Click, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
19 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
20 | further

21 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
