SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marcus Warren Jackson Sr. of Rock Island,
4who passed away on August 4, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marcus Jackson was born in Rock Island to Jesse L.
6and Elizabeth Jackson on October 19, 1970; he served as a
7communication specialist in the United States Army during
8Operation Desert Storm and was valedictorian of his class at
9Kaplan University in 2012; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Marcus Jackson worked in construction; he was also
11a gifted artist and musician and operated his own recording
12studio, Delta Lab; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Marcus Jackson was a proud Mason and had a special
14interest in physical fitness and bodybuilding, winning several
15competitions; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Marcus Jackson was preceded in death by his father
17and his brother, Charles Lee McCauley; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Marcus Jackson is survived by his mother; his
19children, DeMarko Holt, BriAnna Watson, Marcus Jackson Jr.,
20Miltasia Owens, Jaelynn Jackson, Mekovanna Reed, and MarCeisha

1Jackson; his grandchildren, and sisters, Trudy E. Williams,
2Darlene D. Crimm, Jessica L. Jackson, LeDiamonisha Jackson,
3Rosemary Richardson, and Vickie Wilkersham; his brothers,
4Roylee Richardson, David Richardson, and Jordan Humphrey; and
5numerous other loving family members and friends; therefore, be
6it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Marcus Warren Jackson Sr., and extend our sincere condolences
10to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
11it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Marcus Jackson as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
