SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Bill J. Doxsee of Silvis, who passed away
4September 6, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bill Doxsee was born in Boden to John and Goldie
6(Frye) Doxsee on February 24, 1930; he served in the United
7States Army during the Korean War; he married Frances Viscioni
8in Silvis on February 28, 1948; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Bill Doxsee retired from John Deere Harvester in
101985; he was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 845; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Bill Doxsee was a devoted member of Our Lady of
12Guadalupe and prayed regularly in the Perpetual Adoration
13Chapel; he enjoyed gardening and wintering in Florida with his
14wife; above all, family was his greatest joy; he and his wife
15helped raise three granddaughters and one great-grandson; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Bill Doxsee was preceded in death by his parents;
17and his siblings, Marie Shipma, Gene Harris, Albert Doxsee,
18Lois Hildebrand, Betty Raes Carss, and Grace Doxsee; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Bill Doxsee is survived by his wife of nearly 70
20years, Frances; his children, Nancy (Mike) Humphrey, Kathleen

1(Ron) Shinn, Pam Williams, and John (Renee) Doxsee; his ten
2grandchildren; his 18 great-grandchildren, with another on the
3way; and his first great-great-grandchild, expected to arrive
4soon; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Bill J. Doxsee, and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Bill Doxsee as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
