SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard R. Wilson of Colona, who passed
4away on November 6, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Wilson was born in New Effington, South
6Dakota to Marvin and Susan Harn Wilson on September 14, 1929;
7he married Glenda High in Reno, Nevada on January 6, 1953; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Richard Wilson is a veteran of the Vietnam and
9Korean Wars; he served in the United States Air Force for 22
10years; he then worked for John Deere Harvester Works as an
11electrician for 18 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Richard Wilson enjoyed putting together puzzles
13and model airplanes, electrical work, and playing euchre and
14games on his phone; in his younger years, he was a bowler;
15above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family,
16especially dancing with his wife and spending time with his
17grandchildren; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Richard Wilson was preceded in death by one
19sister; and three brothers; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Richard Wilson is survived by his wife, Glenda;

1his children, Rhonda Floyd and Richard "Rick" Jr. (Julie)
2Wilson; his five grandchildren; his three great-grandchildren;
3his siblings, Marvin Wilson and Betty Lee; and his many nieces,
4nephews, and special friends; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Richard R. Wilson and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Richard Wilson as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
