SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Margaret Mary Paddock of Woodstock, who 
4passed away on November 19, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Margaret Paddock was born at home in Fremont 
6Center to Joseph F. and Margaretha E. (Lenzen) Tekampe on 
7October 17, 1916; she married Ronald M. Paddock at St. Mary's 
8Church in Fremont Center on February 16, 1938; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Margaret Paddock and her husband were dairy 
10farmers at various locations within Lake County while raising 
11their four children; in 1961, they retired to Wauconda, where 
12Margaret lived for the next 50 years; and
  
 
  
13    WHEREAS, Margaret Paddock was preceded in death by her 
14parents; her husband, Ronald; her daughter, Elaine Downing and 
15son-in-law, Michael Downing; her brothers, Leo and her twin, 
16Joseph; and her sisters, Martha Rossdeutcher and twins, Regina 
17Weidner and Christina Leffelman; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Margaret Paddock is survived by her sons, Roger 
19(Dorothy) Paddock, Kenneth (Angeline) Paddock, and Vernon 
20(Ruth) Paddock; seven grandchildren; and six 
21great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Margaret Mary Paddock, and extend our sincere condolences to 
4her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Margaret Paddock as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
