SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Stephen A. Kibort of Milan, who passed
4away on November 28, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Stephen Kibort was born in Chicago to Stephen and
6Annette Shimkus Kibort on December 14, 1937; he served in the
7United States Air Force; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Stephen Kibort worked as a service manager for BP
9Amoco in the Chicago area for over 20 years; upon moving to the
10Quad Cities, he served as service manager at Sexton Ford in
11Moline, Reynolds Ford in East Moline, and lastly at Lindquist
12Ford in Bettendorf, Iowa; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Stephen Kibort enjoyed doing yard work, racing
14stock cars, and playing racquet ball; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Stephen Kibort was preceded in death by his
16parents and his son, Scott Kibort; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Stephen Kibort is survived by his loving companion
18of 37 years, Velma Sergeant; his daughter, Wendi Houswerth; his
19daughter-in-law, Patty Kibort; his grandchildren, Stephen
20Houswerth, Shawn Houswerth, and Candi Klaas; and five

1great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Stephen A. Kibort, and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Stephen Kibort as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
