SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of John B. Sacco of East Moline, who passed
4away on January 22, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Sacco was born in Centerville, Iowa to
6Jiovanbatesta "James" and Armelia (Guzzi) Sacco on January 3,
71923; he served in the United States Army Air Corps during
8World War II in the South Pacific; he married Rose Marie DeCapp
9at St. Mary's Church in East Moline on September 6, 1947; and
 
10    WHEREAS, John Sacco was employed as a supervisor at John
11Deere Plow Planter Works in Moline, retiring in 1982 after 35
12years of service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, John Sacco was a golfer and made two holes in one;
14he was an artist and enjoyed doing crafts, making wine, playing
15cards, hunting, and fishing; and
 
16    WHEREAS, John Sacco was preceded in death by his grandsons,
17Drew and Cole Donovan, and his sister, Carmelia Faoro; and
 
18    WHEREAS, John Sacco is survived by his wife, Rose Marie;
19his children, Linda (Richard) Flowers, Janet (Gary) Sparks,
20Peggy (Paul) Mall, John (Theresa) Sacco, and Laurie (David

1Sheer) Donovan; his grandchildren, Amber Cochran, Kelly Askew,
2Amanda Flowers, Bryan Sparks, Erin Sparks, Adam Mall, Andrew
3Mall, Tony Sacco, Nick Sacco, and Katie Donovan; 11
4great-grandchildren; his sister, Connie Wilson; and his
5brother, Louis Sacco; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8John B. Sacco, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of John Sacco as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
