SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Fremont A. "Jr." Rudsell of Reynolds, who
4passed away on April 10, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jr. Rudsell was born in Moline to Fremont Sr. and
6Mary (Carter) Rudsell on October 21, 1947; he served in the
7United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in
8Germany; he married Candice "Candy" Tillman on October 1, 1971;
9on that day, he also became the father to Candy's children; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jr. Rudsell retired from Raymond-Muscatine, Inc.,
11where he was an assembler for many years; he was also a retired
12member of the Reynolds Volunteer Fire Department; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Jr. Rudsell was a past member of the Jaycees; in
14his younger years, he was an accomplished horseman; he
15cherished camping at Loud Thunder and preparing meals for his
16family and friends; he played Santa for many years; farming
17with his son brought him great joy, and teaching his younger
18granddaughters about the farm was important to him; he took
19great pride in his family; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Jr. Rudsell was preceded in death by his parents;
21his brother, Donald; and many of his aunts and uncles; and

1    WHEREAS, Jr. Rudsell is survived by his wife, Candy; his
2children, Christopher (Kelly) Rudsell, Eric (Sommer) Lawrence,
3and Elizabeth (Stan) Boney; his grandchildren, Celina, Hunter,
4Samantha, Isabella, Cammie, Makenna, and Alexis; his siblings,
5John (Judy) Rudsell, Richard (Karen) Rudsell, Larry (Marla)
6Rudsell, Judy (Conrad) Washburn, Maxine (Jesse) Patterson,
7Sonja (Ralph) Brown, Billie Terrill, Nancy (Steve) Allnutt,
8Annie Rudsell, Rudy (Linda) Rudsell, and Rusty (Shelly)
9Rudsell; and his many other family members and friends;
10therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Fremont A. "Jr." Rudsell and extend our sincere condolences to
14his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Jr. Rudsell as an expression of our
18deepest sympathy.
