|
2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Nicholas Todd "Nick" Riordan of Peoria, |
4 | | who passed away on April 3, 2018; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Nick Riordan was born to Todd and Connie (Negray) |
6 | | Riordan on July 9, 1983; he graduated from Heyworth High School |
7 | | in 2002 and married Sarah Presley on March 7, 2009; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Nick Riordan became a paramedic and worked as a |
9 | | 911 dispatcher for Metcom; he volunteered with the Randolph |
10 | | Township Fire Department, where he worked his way to captain, |
11 | | and with the Heyworth Ambulance Service, where he served as an |
12 | | EMT/Paramedic; he worked for Global Fire Service and also |
13 | | served for a time on the Germantown Hills Fire Department as a |
14 | | firefighter/paramedic; he was active with the Eureka Goodfield |
15 | | Ambulance Service and the Putnam County EMS as a paramedic; and
|
16 | | WHEREAS, In 2014, Nick Riordan became a member of the |
17 | | Peoria Fire Department and was affectionately known as |
18 | | "Smiley"; and |
19 | | WHEREAS, Nick Riordan was a member of the Eastview |
20 | | Christian Church; and |
|

1 | | WHEREAS, Nick Riordan cherished spending time with his |
2 | | family and could often be found cooking a breakfast that earned |
3 | | him a famous reputation; and
|
4 | | WHEREAS, Nick Riordan was preceded in death by his |
5 | | grandparents, George and Dorothy Negray and Glenn and Elizabeth |
6 | | Riordan, and his brother, Bryan Wright; and
|
7 | | WHEREAS, Nick Riordan is survived by his wife, Sarah; his |
8 | | children, Keegan, Kallan, and Brynnley; his parents, Connie |
9 | | Riordan and Todd (Linda) Riordan; his siblings, Nathan (Lauren) |
10 | | Riordan, Derick (Erika) Riordan, and Christina Frederick; his |
11 | | nephew, Bo Frederick; his nieces, Finn Frederick and Hadley |
12 | | Riordan; his parents-in-love, Terry and Sandy Presley; his |
13 | | great-grandma through marriage, Betty Presley; and numerous |
14 | | aunts and uncles; therefore, be it

15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
17 | | Nicholas Todd "Nick" Riordan, and extend our sincere |
18 | | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved |
19 | | him; and be it further

20 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
21 | | presented to the family of Nick Riordan as an expression of our |
22 | | deepest sympathy.
