SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Steve Sharnik of Moline, who passed away
4on July 10, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Steve Sharnik was born in Mocanaqua, Pennsylvania
6to Joseph and Marie (Tinus) Sharnik on March 21, 1926; he
7served in the Army Air Corps during World War II; he graduated
8from Pennsylvania State University; he married Alberta G. Wisor
9in Davenport on November 28, 1958; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Steve Sharnik worked as a foreman in the Tool
11Department at John Deere, and he retired in 1983; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Steve Sharnik was a member of Sacred Heart Church
13and the Sacred Heart Resurrection Choir; in his earlier years,
14he enjoyed playing golf; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Steve Sharnik was preceded in death by his wife,
16Alberta; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Steve Sharnik is survived by his son, Steve S.
18Sharnik and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Steve Sharnik and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
3friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5presented to the family of Steve Sharnik as an expression of
6our deepest sympathy.
