SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert O. Grubaugh of Moline, who passed
4away on November 8, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Grubaugh was born in Aurora to Oscar and
6Amy Grubaugh on April 14, 1926; at the age of 17, he enlisted
7in the United States Navy and served during World War II; upon
8his return, he finished high school and then enrolled in a
9Christian college in Texas, where he was valedictorian of his
10graduating class; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Robert Grubaugh worked in public relations and
12marketing at Iowa Illinois Gas and Electric Co., Davenport; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Robert Grubaugh was a member of the American
14Legion Post 246, Moline; he also supported the ASPCA and
15Shriners Hospitals for Children; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Robert Grubaugh was preceded in death by his
17parents; his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Jill Grubaugh;
18and his sister, Shirley Mitchell; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Robert Grubaugh is survived by his sons, Robert
20(Marina) Fatchett and Jeffery Grubaugh; his granddaughters,

1Breanne, Danielle, Jessica, Kirsten, Lauren, and Nikki; his
2grandson, Cole; his five great-grandchildren; and his special
3friend, Marilyn Buntenbach; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Robert O. Grubaugh and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Robert Grubaugh as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
