SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $59,200,000 to the Department of Human Services for various purposes concerning community-integrated living arrangements. Effective immediately.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    Section 5. The amount of $30,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for the purpose of reducing the number of daily hours of uncompensated services in 5 to 8 bed community-integrated living arrangements from 7 hours to 5 hours.

 

    Section 10. The amount of $5,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for rate increases for certified community day services providers under community service grant programs for persons with developmental disabilities.

 

    Section 15. The amount of $6,200,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for the purpose of increasing the base nursing reimbursements for any licensed practical nurse by one-half hour per month per person for residents living in 5 to 8 person community-integrated living arrangements and for any registered nurse by one-half hour per year per person for residents living in 5 to 8 person community-integrated living arrangements.

 

    Section 20. The amount of $18,000,000 or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for the purpose of increasing the administration cost reimbursements in community-integrated living arrangements.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
