1 | | AN ACT concerning criminal law.
|
2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 is |
5 | | amended by changing Section 107-5 as follows:
|
6 | | (725 ILCS 5/107-5) (from Ch. 38, par. 107-5)

7 | | Sec. 107-5. Method of arrest.
|
8 | | (a) An arrest is made by an actual restraint of the
the |
9 | | person or by his
submission to custody. |
10 | | (b) An arrest may be made on any day and at any time of the |
11 | | day or
night.

12 | | (c) An arrest may be made anywhere within the jurisdiction |
13 | | of this
State.
|
14 | | (d) All necessary and reasonable force may be used to |
15 | | effect an entry
into any building or property or part thereof |
16 | | to make an authorized arrest.
