AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2385

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2385 by replacing
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4    "Section 5. The Illinois Police Training Act is amended by
5changing Section 10.12 as follows:
 
6    (50 ILCS 705/10.12)
7    Sec. 10.12. Police dog training standards. All Beginning
8July 1, 2012, all police dogs used by State and local law
9enforcement agencies for drug enforcement purposes under
10pursuant to the Cannabis Control Act (720 ILCS 550/), the
11Illinois Controlled Substances Act (720 ILCS 570/), and the
12Methamphetamine Control and Community Protection Act (720 ILCS
13646/) shall be trained by programs that meet the minimum
14certification requirements set by the Board. On or after the
15effective date of this amendatory Act of the 101st General
16Assembly, notwithstanding any provision of law, police dogs

4requirements set by the Board.
