SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
5 ILCS 160/4b new
50 ILCS 205/3d new

    Amends the State Records Act and the Local Records Act. Provides that a public officer or public agency that has a government credit card issued for use by the public officer or employees of the public officer or agency shall post on the officer's or agency's website a copy of each expense charged on the credit card on or before 60 days after the date the expense was charged. Expenses shall remain the website for at least one year after the expense was originally posted. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning local government.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The State Records Act is amended by adding
5Section 4b as follows:
 
6    (5 ILCS 160/4b new)
7    Sec. 4b. Credit card expenses. A public officer or agency
8that has a government credit card issued for use by the public
9officer or employees of the public officer or agency shall post
10on the public officer's or agency's website a copy of each
11expense charged on the credit card on or before 60 days after
12the date the expense was charged. A copy of an expense shall
13remain on the website for at least one year after the expense
14is originally posted.
 
15    Section 10. The Local Records Act is amended by adding
16Section 3d as follows:
 
17    (50 ILCS 205/3d new)
18    Sec. 3d. Credit card expenses. An officer or agency that
