Amends the Fish and Aquatic Life Code and the Wildlife Code. Provides that an Illinois resident who is on active military duty and is stationed in Illinois may fish as permitted by the Fish and Aquatic Life Code without paying any fees required to obtain a fishing license. Provides that an Illinois resident who is on active military duty and is stationed in Illinois may hunt as permitted by the Wildlife Code without paying any fees required to obtain a hunting license.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Fish and Aquatic Life Code is amended by |
5 | | adding Section 20-48 as follows: |
6 | | (515 ILCS 5/20-48 new) |
7 | | Sec. 20-48. Active duty Illinois resident. An Illinois |
8 | | resident who is on active military duty and is stationed in |
9 | | Illinois may fish as permitted by this Code without paying any |
10 | | fees required to obtain a fishing license. |
11 | | Section 10. The Wildlife Code is amended by adding Section |
12 | | 3.1-10 as follows: |
13 | | (520 ILCS 5/3.1-10 new) |
14 | | Sec. 3.1-10. Active duty Illinois resident. An Illinois |
15 | | resident who is on active military duty and is stationed in |
16 | | Illinois may hunt any of the species protected by Section 2.2 |
17 | | of this Code without paying any fees required to obtain a |
18 | | hunting license, but the hunting shall be done only during such |
19 | | periods of time and with devices and by methods as are |
20 | | permitted by this Code.
