SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Allan John Hanson of Hampton, who passed
4away on July 30, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Allan Hanson was born in Canby, Minnesota to James
6Russell and Leona (Winkels) Hanson on February 11, 1938; he
7married Linda Young in Hampton on June 10, 1961; he served in
8the United States Air Force from 1960 until 1964; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Allan Hanson worked as an inspector for Alcoa and
10retired in 2000; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Allan Hanson was proud to participate in an Honor
12Flight; he was a car enthusiast; he enjoyed camping, especially
13in Alabama during the winter, and watching his children and
14grandchildren's sporting events; in his younger years, he
15enjoyed his boat and his motorcycle; he will be remembered for
16his kind and gentle spirit; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Allan Hanson was preceded in death by his parents;
18his brothers, Don and Paul Hanson; and his sisters, Diane
19Hanson and Janice Bates; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Allan Hanson is survived by his wife, Linda; his

1children, Amy Harris, Scott (Sandra) Hanson, and Jenny (Brad)
2Hofmann; his grandchildren, Julia and Jackson Harris, Sam,
3Ryder, and Sophia Hanson, and Madeline, Molly, Sarah, and Noah
4Hofmann; his sisters, Dorothy (Homer) Heaton, Marilyn (Gary)
5Seidel, and Linda (Mark) Ellis; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Allan John Hanson and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Allan Hanson as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
