SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert M. "Bob" Gorman, who passed away 
4on August 26, 2019 at the age of 61; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Gorman was born on November 12, 1957 and 
6lived a happy, full life with his family and wife of 24 years, 
7Maureen; he was lovingly referred to as "Mr. Mom" by his 
8children, Tess, Seamus, and Pearse; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Robert Gorman enjoyed nature and loved to take in 
10the beauty of the many plants, insects, and animals he 
11encountered; he was a loving owner to his dog, Louis 
12"Toulouse"; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Robert Gorman admired great art and took as much 
14time as he could to cherish his favorite paintings; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Robert Gorman was preceded in death by his 
16parents, John and Mary Gorman; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Robert Gorman is survived by his wife, Maureen; 
18his children, Tess, Seamus, and Pearse; his siblings, Larry 
19(Susan), Terese (Greg) Black, Christine, Maura, and Jack; and 
20countless other cousins, nephews, and nieces; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Robert Gorman and extend our sincere condolences to his family, 
4friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Robert Gorman as an expression of 
7our deepest sympathy.
