SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Barbara J. "Barb" Olson of Schaumburg,
4who passed away on December 11, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Barb Olson was born to Swan and Marian (Filson)
6Edlund on December 2, 1948; she earned a Bachelor of Arts in
7Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-River
8Falls; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Barb Olson was active with the Evangelical
10Lutheran Church of America; she was a member of the American
11Association of University Women, Church Women United, and the
12Girl Scouts; she loved life, flowers, antiques, traveling, and
13being involved with causes that made the world a better place;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, Barb Olson was the adoring wife of 47 years of
16Ken; the loving mother of Jennifer (Brandon) Scholl and
17Stephanie; the fond grandmother of Blake, Bennett, Brooklyn,
18Briella, and Brianna; the dear twin sister of the late Marilyn;
19the beloved sister-in-law of Anita (Robert) Damon and Calvin
20(Ione) Olson; and a loving aunt, cousin, and dear friend to
21many; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Barbara J. "Barb" Olson and extend our sincere condolences to
4her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Barb Olson as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
