SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Timothy Clifford "Tim" Popp of Peoria,
4who passed away on November 26, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Tim Popp was born in L'Anse, Michigan to Bernice
6and William Popp on September 8, 1967; he graduated from Iron
7Mountain High School in 1986 as valedictorian and then with
8honors from the University of Michigan; and
 
9    WHEREAS, For the majority of his career, Tim Popp worked in
10logistics at Caterpillar in Peoria; most recently, he worked at
11Illinois Central College as a data analyst; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Tim Popp will be remembered for his pride and love
13for his children, his tremendous wit, his love for dancing,
14acting, and the Michigan Wolverines, his kindness, his pursuit
15of social justice, and his youthful approach to life,
16especially when entertaining his kids, nieces, and nephews; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Tim Popp was preceded in death by his maternal and
18paternal grandparents and aunts and uncles, Joe and Peggy Popp,
19Jim Andrian, Kay and Stanley Wyrwas, John and Josephine
20Stanislawczyk, Ray Garcia, Carol Jeffers, Cliff Popp, Mike
21Stanislawczyk, and Margie Stanislawczyk, and his cousin, Karen

2    WHEREAS, Tim Popp is survived by his children, Riley and
3Miranda; his parents; his brothers, Bill (Laura) and Rick
4(Sue); his sister, Alison (Tom) Meier; his nieces and nephews,
5Emily and Joe Popp, Sam and Isaiah Popp, and Ivy and Theo
6Meier; his aunts and uncles, Dolores Andrian, Bob and Barb
7Popp, Dan and Sue Popp, Diana and Larry Malinovsky, Clara
8Garcia, Jan Stanislawczyk, Joe and Sandy Stanislawczyk, Steve
9Stanislawczyk, Tom and Irene Piker, and Carol Selfridge Popp;
10and numerous cousins; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Timothy Clifford "Tim" Popp and extend our sincere condolences
14to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
15it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Tim Popp as an expression of our
18deepest sympathy.
