SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Kenneth J. Giseburt of Moline, who passed
4away on September 18, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenneth Giseburt was born in Champaign to Paul
6Giseburt and Bertha (Koritz) Giseburt on August 20, 1933; he
7served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the 1950s; he married
8Johanna E. Seeliger in Loda on January 31, 1959; he earned his
9bachelor's degree from Illinois State University; he earned his
10master's degree in education from the University of Illinois;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, After over 20 years of service, Kenneth Giseburt
13retired from Holland Motor Express in Rock Island in the early
141990s; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Kenneth Giseburt was preceded in death by his
16parents and one sister; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Kenneth Giseburt is survived by his wife; his son,
18James; his granddaughter, Amanda (Brandon) Carleton; and his
19great-grandchild, Ellis; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Kenneth J. Giseburt and extend our sincere condolences to his
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
4further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Kenneth Giseburt as an expression of
7our deepest sympathy.
