SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates $5,000,000 to the Department of Public Health to be used for grants to organizations that test student athletes for being at risk of sudden cardiac death in accordance with specified provisions of the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Effective July 1, 2022.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

  Section 5. The amount of $5,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Department of Public Health to be used for grants to organizations that test student athletes for being at risk of sudden cardiac death in accordance with the provisions of Section 2310-254 of the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2022.
