Makes appropriations for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Law Enforcement Training Standards Board for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022, as follows:

General Funds                    $26,879,400

Other State Funds                $51,185,000

Federal Funds                    $ 8,000,000

Total                            $76,064,400

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

ARTICLE 1

 

       Section 5.  The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Law Enforcement Training Standards Board:

OPERATIONS

Payable from the General Revenue Fund:

  For Personal Services.......................... 5,583,300

  For State Contributions to

   Social Security................................. 424,300

  For Contractual Services......................... 540,000

  For Travel........................................ 80,500

  For Commodities................................... 26,300

  For Printing...................................... 10,000

  For Equipment.................................... 540,000

  For Electronic Data Processing................. 1,128,800

  For Telecommunications Services................... 46,200

  For Operation of Auto Equipment.................. 100,000

    Total                                        $8,479,400

Payable from the Police Training Board Services Fund:

  For payment of and/or services

   related to law enforcement training

   in accordance with statutory provisions

   of the Law Enforcement Intern

   Training Act.................................... 105,000

Payable from the Law Enforcement Training Fund:

  For purposes authorized under Section 6z-126

   of the State Finance Act..................... 10,000,000

Payable from the Law Enforcement Camera

 Grant Fund:

  For grants to units of

   local government in Illinois

   related to installing video cameras

   in law enforcement vehicles and

   training law enforcement officers

   in the operation of the cameras in

   accordance with statutory provisions

   of the Law Enforcement Camera

   Grant Act.................................... 13,570,000

 

    Section 10.  The following named amount, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, is appropriated to the Law Enforcement Training Standards Board as follows:

GRANTS-IN-AID

Payable from the Traffic and Criminal

 Conviction Surcharge Fund:

  For payment of and/or reimbursement

   of basic training and basic training services

   in accordance with statutory provisions...... 10,290,000

  For payment of and/or reimbursement

   of in-service training and in-service training services

   in accordance with statutory provisions...... 17,220,000

 

    Section 15.  The amount of $8,400,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Law Enforcement Training Standards Board for deposit into the Traffic and Criminal Conviction Surcharge Fund. No portion of this appropriation shall be deposited into the Traffic and Criminal Conviction Surcharge Fund unless and until it is approved in writing by the Governor.

 

    Section 20.  The sum of $8,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Law Enforcement Officers Training Board Federal Projects Fund to the Law Enforcement Training Standards Board for expenses relating to various federal projects

 

    Section 25.  The amount of $10,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Law Enforcement Training Standards Board for deposit into the Law Enforcement Camera Grant Fund.

 

Section 99.  Effective Date.  This Act takes effect July 1, 2022.
