| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2574 on page 1, | ||||||
| 3 | line 19, after "responsible.", by inserting:

| 4 | "A paramedic or firefighter who removes an animal from a motor | ||||||
| 5 | vehicle under this Section shall remain on the scene with the | ||||||
| 6 | animal until an animal control officer or a law enforcement | ||||||
| 7 | officer can take possession of the animal. If the owner takes | ||||||
| 8 | possession, the paramedic or firefighter must report the | ||||||
| 9 | incident to local law enforcement or animal control.".
