| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2878 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| 4 | "Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing Section | ||||||
| 5 | 1-2 as follows:

| 6 | (105 ILCS 5/1-2) (from Ch. 122, par. 1-2)

| 7 | Sec. 1-2. Construction. The
The provisions of this Act, so | ||||||
| 8 | far as they are the same as those of any
prior statute, shall | ||||||
| 9 | be construed as a continuation of such prior
provisions, and | ||||||
| 10 | not as a new enactment. | ||||||
| 11 | If in any other statute reference is made to an Act of the | ||||||
| 12 | General
Assembly, or a section of such an Act, which is | ||||||
| 13 | continued in this School
Code, such reference shall be held to | ||||||
| 14 | refer to the Act or section thereof
so continued in this Code.
