Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Provides that, notwithstanding any other provision of law, law enforcement interrogations are limited to a maximum of 9 hours in a 24 hour time frame.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 is |
5 | | amended by adding Section 103-2.2 as follows: |
6 | | (725 ILCS 5/103-2.2 new) |
7 | | Sec. 103-2.2. Interrogation length. Notwithstanding any |
8 | | other provision of law, law enforcement interrogations are |
9 | | limited to a maximum of 9 hours in a 24 hour time frame.
