SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
210 ILCS 9/73 new
210 ILCS 35/5.10 new
210 ILCS 40/10.2 new
210 ILCS 45/3-613 new
210 ILCS 46/3-613 new
210 ILCS 47/3-613 new

    Amends the Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act, the Community Living Facilities Licensing Act, the Life Care Facilities Act, the Nursing Home Care Act, the MC/DD Act, and the ID/DD Community Care Act. Provides that establishments or facilities licensed under the Acts shall post on the establishment's or facility's website specified information about the Department on Aging's Long Term Care Ombudsman Program. Provides that an establishment or facility may comply with the provisions by posting the required information on the website of its parent company if the establishment does not maintain a unique website and is not required to comply with the provisions if the establishment or facility and any parent company do not maintain a website. Effective January 1, 2023.

1    AN ACT concerning regulation.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act is
5amended by adding Section 73 as follows:
 
6    (210 ILCS 9/73 new)
7    Sec. 73. Posting of Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
8information.
9    (a) Except as provided under subsection (b), an
10establishment shall post on the establishment's website
11information about the Department on Aging's Long Term Care
12Ombudsman Program, including:
13        (1) information regarding the Program's role as an
14    advocate for residents of long-term care facilities; and
15        (2) the Program's statewide toll-free telephone
16    number.
17    (b) An establishment:
18        (1) may comply with this Section by posting the
19    required information on the website of the establishment's
20    parent company if the establishment does not maintain a
21    unique website; and
22        (2) is not required to comply with this Section if the
23    establishment and any parent company do not maintain a

2    Section 10. The Community Living Facilities Licensing Act
3is amended by adding Section 5.10 as follows:
 
4    (210 ILCS 35/5.10 new)
5    Sec. 5.10. Posting of Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
6information.
7    (a) Except as provided under subsection (b), a Community
8Living Facility shall post on the Community Living Facility's
9website information about the Department on Aging's Long Term
10Care Ombudsman Program, including:
11        (1) information regarding the Program's role as an
12    advocate for residents of long-term care facilities; and
13        (2) the Program's statewide toll-free telephone
14    number.
15    (b) A Community Living Facility:
16        (1) may comply with this Section by posting the
17    required information on the website of the Community
18    Living Facility's parent company if the Community Living
19    Facility does not maintain a unique website; and
20        (2) is not required to comply with this Section if the
21    Community Living Facility and any parent company do not
22    maintain a website.

2    (210 ILCS 40/10.2 new)
3    Sec. 10.2. Posting of Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
4information.
5    (a) Except as provided under subsection (b), a facility
6shall post on the facility's website information about the
7Department on Aging's Long Term Care Ombudsman Program,
8including:
9        (1) information regarding the Program's role as an
10    advocate for residents of long-term care facilities; and
11        (2) the Program's statewide toll-free telephone
12    number.
13    (b) A facility:
14        (1) may comply with this Section by posting the
