HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Jacob
4Harris "Jakey" Grossman, who passed away on February 12, 2021;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Jacob Grossman was born on December 1, 1998; he
7experienced an active Jewish education, including two trips to
8Israel; he became a bar mitzvah with joy and exuberance; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Throughout his life, Jacob Grossman
10extraordinarily impacted all of his teachers, tutors, teens,
11and others who worked with him on his academic and social
12endeavors; his courageous and happy demeanor inspired many
13teens and adults to aspire to work in the field of special
14education; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jacob Grossman was involved in USY, Buddy
16Baseball, Chai Lifeline, Kids of Courage, HUGS, Best Buddies,
17Friendship Circle, the National Ability Center in Park City,
18Utah, and the Congregation Beth Shalom Community; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Jacob Grossman was proud of his faith; he enjoyed
20singing musicals, 80s music, and Jewish music; and

1    WHEREAS, Jacob Grossman was known for his strength in
2character, his compassion, his love for his fellow human
3beings, and his dedication to his family and friends; his life
4has served as a true inspiration to all in his community who
5have cheered him on and supported him through his many
6challenges; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Jacob Grossman will be remembered for not letting
8anything stop him; he left his mark on this world and changed
9so many lives; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jacob Grossman will be remembered by his parents,
11Rachel and Alan Grossman; his best friend and sister, Talia
12Grossman; his grandparents, Fran and Mike Grossman, Claire and
13Warren Pulner, and the late Theresa Pulner; and his aunts,
14uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
16HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
17we mourn the passing of Jacob Harris "Jakey" Grossman and
18extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all
19who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
20    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21presented to the family of Jacob Grossman as an expression of
22our deepest sympathy.
