AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3004

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3004 on page 2,
3line 4, after "spaces.", by inserting: "A landlord is not
4prohibited from displaying in or on the tenant's residential
5areas a sign, flag, or other paraphernalia relating to the
6landlord's rental business, including, but not limited to, a
7"For Rent" sign or an advertisement for the landlord's rental
8business.
 
9    Section 15. Signage removal. A landlord is prohibited from
10compelling a tenant to remove any sign, flag, or other
11paraphernalia in or on the tenant's residential area. This
12does not include common areas and public spaces.
 
13    Section 20. Application of Act. This Act applies to leases
14and rental agreements entered into or renewed after the
15effective date of this Act. Both the landlord and the tenant
16are prohibited from displaying or removing any sign, flag, or

1other paraphernalia if the display or removal would violate
2any local, State, or federal law."; and
