SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Felice Elka Witmer, who passed away on
4April 19, 2019 at the age of 72; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Felice Witmer was born in San Angelo, Texas to
6Herman "Tommy" Monroe Starer and Edith Althea Starer; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Felice Witmer married the love of her life,
8Herman "Harry" John Witmer, on October 17, 1970; they were
9together for 48 and a half years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Felice Witmer and her husband Harry lived in Oak
11Park for many years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Felice Witmer worked as a medical practice
13manager in the Chicago area for 35 years; as a dedicated
14worker, she received commendations from the State of Illinois
15for her work; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Above all, Felice Witmer was a strong family
17woman who made sure all were loved and well-fed; she was an
18excellent cook known for her hoagie sandwiches, Italian
19meatballs, and matzo ball soup; and

1    WHEREAS, At the time of her death, Felice Witmer was
2survived by her husband, Herman Witmer; her children, Rachel
3Witmer and John (Stephanie) Witmer; and her grandchildren,
4Emma Thompson, Henry Thompson, Derek Witmer, Megan Witmer, and
5Tyler Witmer; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Felice Elka Witmer and extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Felice Witmer as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
