2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Rosetta Ilene Burnett-Womack, who |
4 | | passed away on February 19, 2021; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Rosetta Burnett-Womack was born to Elder James |
6 | | and Clementine Burnett in Alton on December 5, 1948; she |
7 | | graduated from Alton High School and then attended nursing |
8 | | school; she committed to her faith at an early age; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Rosetta Burnett-Womack loved to work and held |
10 | | many jobs throughout her life; she worked at the Alton Box |
11 | | Board, Delyn Cleaning Service, and Home Health Care; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Rosetta Burnett-Womack loved her community and |
13 | | was affectionately called Momma Rose by many; she will be |
14 | | remembered as a devoted and loving mother, cousin, sister, |
15 | | friend, aunt, daughter, and grandmother, and her legacy will |
16 | | be remembered; and

17 | | WHEREAS, Rosette Burnett-Womack was preceded in death by |
18 | | her parents; her maternal grandparents, William and Pearline |
19 | | Brown; her paternal grandparents, Louis and Nellie Burnett; |
20 | | her brothers, James Walter and Royce Burnett; her sisters, |
21 | | Pearline Dorsey and Debbie Taylor; her son, Craig Womack; and |
