SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of David L. Creason, who passed away on
4March 9, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, David Creason was born to Galena and Mike Creason
6on December 30, 1944; he was one of six children; he graduated
7from New Trier High School and earned his Bachelor of Science
8from the University of Illinois Chicago; and
 
9    WHEREAS, David Creason served as treasurer on the Our Lady
10of Grace and the St. Juliana's School Boards, was a member and
11treasurer of the Knights of Columbus Council, was a founding
12member and chairman of the Logan Concerned Citizens, served as
13treasurer for the Citizens Action Program, was a founding
14member of the Northwest Neighborhood Federation, was one of
15the founding members of the Organizing Committee for the
16Norwest Side, served as first chairman of the Home Equity
17Commission, and was a partner in Chicagoland Housing where he
18renovated houses predominantly in Chicago's Austin
19neighborhood; he also sang in the St. Juliana Choir for 28
20years; and
 
21    WHEREAS, David Creason was a longtime fan of the Chicago
22Bulls; he was the proud owner of Jonquil, Frosty, and Kori; and

1    WHEREAS, David Creason was preceded in death by his son,
2Gregory Creason; and his siblings, Laverne Brocha, Michael
3(Fay) Creason, and Judy (the late Larry) Freeland; and
 
4    WHEREAS, David Creason is survived by his wife of 53
5years, Carole (Michuski); his children, Mark (Lisa) and
6Robert; his grandchild, Joseph; his sister, Doris Jean
7Newcomb; his brother, Fred (Rosemary) Creason; and his many
8nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11David Creason and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of David Creason as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
