SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Joseph Alexander "Joey" Hoopingarner
4of Paxton, who passed away on May 16, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joey Hoopingarner was born in Urbana to Ernest
6and Kimberly Burton Hoopingarner III on March 10, 2003; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Joey Hoopingarner was a junior at
8Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School, where he was a well-liked
9student who looked forward to school and really enjoyed P.E.,
10math, cooking, playing games, and solving problems; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Joey Hoopingarner enjoyed video games, especially
12Pokémon, SpongeBob SquarePants, movies, and camping; he loved
13animals; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Joey Hoopingarner was known for being outgoing,
15caring, joyful, and very funny; he will be remembered for
16always caring for and getting along with others; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Joey Hoopingarner was preceded in death by his
18maternal grandfather, Robert Burton; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Joey Hoopingarner is survived by his parents; his

1brothers, Zack Hoopingarner, Luke Hoopingarner, Matt
2Hoopingarner, Johnny Hoopingarner, and Marcus Hoopingarner;
3his sister, Samantha Hoopingarner; his maternal grandmother,
4Carolyn Burton; his paternal grandfather, Ernie (Sherri)
5Hoopingarner; his paternal grandmother, Kay Jones; and his
6several aunts and uncles; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Joseph Alexander "Joey" Hoopingarner and extend our sincere
10condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
11him; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Joey Hoopingarner as an expression
14of our deepest sympathy.
