SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Alan R. "Al" Tebbe of Moline, who
4passed away on May 24, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Alan Tebbe was born in Moline to Alvin and Pearl
6(Bendt) Tebbe on July 26, 1941; he graduated from Rock Island
7High School in 1959; he served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to
81963, where he acquired Signal Corps and electronic training;
9he married Karen Humberstone in 1961, and they had three
10daughters; he married Joyce Trainor in 1980; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Alan Tebbe was employed as a machine operator by
12three local companies, Ametek, International Harvester, and
13Prime Mover; he also worked as a part-time auto mechanic for 15
14years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Alan Tebbe enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting,
16spending time with his dogs, and skiing; he was known for
17making vacation decisions based on his desire to hunt ducks
18daily; he enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time at
19their cabin in northern Wisconsin, where they enjoyed boating,
20fishing, and spending time together and with their friends;

1    WHEREAS, Alan Tebbe was known for always being positive,
2never meeting a person he did not like, and often helping
3strangers in need; he was one of a kind and will be missed; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Alan Tebbe was preceded in death by his parents,
5one brother, and three sisters; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Alan Tebbe is survived by his wife of 46 years,
7Joyce; his daughters, Michelle Tebbe, Melissa Tebbe, and
8Melinda (Mike) Wells; his granddaughters, Olivia, Kylie, and
9Mikayla; and his sister, Eleanor Sims; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Alan R. "Al" Tebbe and extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Alan Tebbe as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
