SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Neal C. Johnson, who passed away on
4June 16, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Neal Johnson loved his job in public relations,
6and he helped those in need by volunteering; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Neal Johnson was a Master Mason and a member of
8the Moose Lodge; he served on numerous boards, most notably
9St. Jude; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Neal Johnson was affectionately known as "Papa"
11and "Pop-Pop"; he was a gifted communicator; he was strong and
12compassionate and had a heart filled with love; he was an
13amazing father and grandfather; his support was limitless, and
14he passed many of his wonderful attributes to his children;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Neal Johnson loved golf, dancing with his wife,
17and playing with his grandchildren; he was a jokester and
18could have an entire room laughing; he was a talented musician
19and played many instruments throughout his life; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Neal Johnson loved his brothers, Gary, Dan, and

1Bill; he would frequently have breakfast with them and enjoyed
2this immensely; he loved their wives and children as well; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Neal Johnson is survived by his wife, Lynne; his
4children, John (Marisol) Johnson, Christopher (Victoria)
5Johnson, Dawn (Jordan) Tanner, and Sarah (Nemanja) Stanojevic;
6and his grandchildren, Silas Tanner and Solana Johnson;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Neal C. Johnson and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Neal Johnson as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
