SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Bert A. Brown of Rock Island, who
4passed away on July 8, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bert Brown was born to Bert R. and Fama (Snook)
6Brown in Moline on June 18, 1938; he married Ella Jones on
7August 11, 1962; he served in the U.S. Army; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Bert Brown worked in the machine shop at the
9former Frank Foundry in Moline; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Bert Brown was a member of Edgewood Baptist
11Church, Rock Island; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Bert Brown enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood
13working, range shooting, mushroom hunting, traveling,
14photography, and motorcycle rides; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Bert Brown was preceded in death by his wife; his
16parents; and his siblings, Adeline Meir, Phyllis Edmond, and
17Charlotte Schaab; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Bert Brown is survived by his son, Bert A. Brown
19II (Jessica McGuire-Brown), and his siblings, Roy and William

1Brown; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Bert A. Brown and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Bert Brown as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
