SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of William "Bill" D. Neumann of Milan,
4who passed away on July 20, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bill Neumann was born to William and Blanche
6(Ankney) Neumann in De Witt, Nebraska on April 8, 1931; he
7served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War; he married
8Sheryl J. Truman in Rock Island on November 9, 1974; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Bill Neumann worked at Gould National Battery,
10Rock Island, until the company closed; he then worked at J.I.
11Case until his retirement; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Bill Neumann was a member of Milan American
13Legion Post 569 and the Rock Island Moose Lodge; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Bill Neumann enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening,
15lawn work, playing Euchre, and going to the cabins in New
16Boston, Illinois and Minnesota; he also enjoyed caring for his
17beloved pet dogs; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Bill Neumann was preceded in death by his
19parents; his two brothers, Lee Neumann and Guy Neumann; and
20his two sisters, Ruth Dander and Betty Hunter; and

1    WHEREAS, Bill Neumann is survived by his wife; his
2daughters, Debra (Kevin) Haskins and Sheree Fahlberg; his five
3grandchildren; his six great-grandchildren; his two
4step-great-grandchildren; and his numerous nieces and nephews
5and their families; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8William "Bill" D. Neumann and extend our sincere condolences
9to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Bill Neumann as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
