SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Elroy "Bud" Pfingsten of Watseka, who
4passed away on October 11, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bud Pfingsten was born to Walter and Elma
6(Schroeder) Pfingsten near Woodworth on May 2, 1931; he
7attended St. Paul's Lutheran School of Woodworth and later
8graduated from Milford High School in 1949; he married Dolores
9Brutlag at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Woodworth on August
1012, 1956; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Bud Pfingsten was a hog farmer for most of his
12life; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Bud Pfingsten was on the Farm Bureau for 20 years
14and the Claytonville Oil Coop Board for many years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, In his younger years, Bud Pfingsten played
16softball with FS and other teams; after retirement, he enjoyed
17gardening and sharing his produce; he loved his family and
18enjoyed having coffee with his morning buddies; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Bud Pfingsten was preceded in death by his
20parents; his granddaughter, Rhianna Doggett; his brother,

1Wendell (Dorothy) Pfingsten; his sister, Dianne Campbell; his
2brothers-in-law, Frank Bohlmann, Rev. Allen Brutlag, and
3Marvin ZumMallen; and his sister-in-law, Sue Pfingsten; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Bud Pfingsten is survived by his wife; his
5daughter, Yvonne (John) Doggett; his grandson, Patrick (Katie)
6Doggett; his siblings, Bernice Bohlmann, Evelyn Brutlag,
7Marilyn ZumMallen, Kenneth (Linda) Pfingsten, and Leon
8Pfingsten; and his brother-in-law, Allen Campbell; therefore,
9be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Elroy "Bud" Pfingsten and extend our sincere condolences to
13his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Bud Pfingsten as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
