SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Anne Berry, who passed away on
4November 14, 2020 at the age of 88; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Anne Berry was born in Chicago on October 28,
61932; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Anne Berry earned her undergraduate and graduate
8degrees from the University of Illinois and the Illinois
9Institute of Technology; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Anne Berry married Bill Berry in 1964; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Anne Berry lived her adult life in Chicagoland,
12the Village of Oak Park specifically, and Indianapolis; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Anne Berry built a long and successful career in
14art teaching and curation; during retirement, she was a docent
15for the Indianapolis Museum of Art; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Anne Berry was politically engaged and eagerly
17cast her ballot in the 2020 election; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Anne Berry was preceded in death by her husband

1and her son, Jason Berry; and
 
2    WHEREAS, At the time of her death, Anne Berry was survived
3by her daughter, Diann Harris; her grandson, Drew Harris; her
4brother, Donald Andersen; her daughter-in-law, Andrea Berry;
5her nephews and nieces; and her friends; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Anne Berry and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
9friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Anne Berry as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
