2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Mary Fern Ingram of Rossville, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on October 28, 2021; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Mary Ingram was born to Jesse E. and Ferne | ||||||
6 | (Dines) Sizelove in Bismarck on March 28, 1923; she married | ||||||
7 | Robert N. Ingram in Danville on January 21, 1946; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Mary Ingram worked as a switchboard operator in | ||||||
9 | Bismarck; during World War II, her family moved to | ||||||
10 | Indianapolis where she worked at the Chevrolet factory making | ||||||
11 | tank parts; she worked most summers at Stokely-Van Camp and | ||||||
12 | worked part time at the post office; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Mary Ingram was a member of the Rossville United | ||||||
14 | Methodist Church; she was also a member of the American Legion | ||||||
15 | Auxiliary for 60 years and the Women of the Moose for 59 years, | ||||||
16 | as well as the VFW Auxiliary; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Mary Ingram was a great cook who was known for her | ||||||
18 | fried chicken, potato salad, and chop suey; she enjoyed doing | ||||||
19 | puzzles, reading, gardening, and embroidery; she also enjoyed | ||||||
20 | going to auctions and collecting antiques; she loved her | ||||||
21 | family very much and dedicated her life to them; and

1 | WHEREAS, Mary Ingram was preceded in death by her husband; | ||||||
2 | her parents; one daughter, DeAnna; one brother, Bill; and one | ||||||
3 | son-in-law, Sam Browne; and
| ||||||
4 | WHEREAS, Mary Ingram is survived by eight daughters, | ||||||
5 | Sheila Browne (Scott Sprague), Sherry (Allen) Decker, Bobbette | ||||||
6 | (Kenneth) Gammon, Pamela (Gene) Rife, Donna (Rick) White, Mary | ||||||
7 | Jo (Bob) Ray, Cheryl (Mike) Peters, and Jackie (Steve) Maden; | ||||||
8 | one son, Robert J. (Kim) Ingram; two sons-in-law, Fred | ||||||
9 | Sprinkle and Don Van Gieson; one sister-in-law, Donna | ||||||
10 | Sizelove; her 20 grandchildren; her 30 great-grandchildren | ||||||
11 | with three on the way; her seven great-great-grandchildren | ||||||
12 | with one on the way; and her many nieces and nephews, including | ||||||
13 | her special niece, Angie Sizelove Shirk; therefore, be it

14 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
15 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
16 | Mary Fern Ingram and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
17 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
18 | further

19 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
20 | presented to the family of Mary Ingram as an expression of our | ||||||
21 | deepest sympathy.
