SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Duane L. Allison of East Moline, who
4passed away on December 24, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Duane Allison was born to Lloyd J. and Alverta
6Bauer Allison in Moline on May 31, 1929; he served in the U.S.
7Air Force during the Korean War; he married Beverly J. Bower in
8Rock Island on April 29, 1950, and she preceded him in death on
9April 22, 2021; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Duane Allison was a quality control specialist
11for various departments at the John Deere company for 35
12years; he retired in 1984; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Duane Allison was a member of the Moline American
14Legion Post 246 and a former member of St. Pius X Catholic
15Church in Rock Island; he enjoyed fishing and gardening; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Duane Allison was preceded in death by his
17parents; his wife; his sister, Beverly Joyce Hanson; and his
18sister-in-law, Jo Elaine Allison; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Duane Allison is survived by his children, Marcia
20(Stephen) Park, Martin Allison, and Scott Allison; his

1grandchildren, Joshua (Brandie) Park, David (Holly) Park, and
2Eryn (Michael) Parks; his eight great-grandchildren; his
3brother, Dale Allison; and several nieces and nephews;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Duane L. Allison and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Duane Allison as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
