SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Jack William Frey of Rock Island, who
4passed away on January 5, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jack Frey was born to James and Mary (Van
6DePutte) Frey in Moline on October 12, 1936; he served in the
7U.S. Air Force for nine years, and he was very proud of his
8service, which was cut short due to disability; he married
9Mary Lou Brown in Geneseo on October 31, 1964, and she preceded
10him in death on January 6, 2020; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jack Frey served as an electrician for
12International Harvester before its closing; he then worked at
13the Rock Island Arsenal until he retired; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Jack Frey was a member of Bethel Church in Rock
15Island; he enjoyed reading, studying history, vacationing, and
16traveling; he loved his many cats over the years; above all
17else, his family was the most important thing to him,
18especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Jack Frey was preceded in death by his parents
20and his wife; and

1    WHEREAS, Jack Frey is survived by his children, Jacque
2(Ron) Martinez, Mark Frey, Michael Stewart, Terry (Susan)
3Stewart, James "Jamie" (Mary) Frey, Una (Kirby) Greene, Laura
4(Matt) Kaha, and Tim (Debs) Rapier; his 19 grandchildren; and
5his many great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Jack William Frey and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Jack Frey as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
