SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Bernard H. "Pete" Pearson Jr. of
4Silvis, who passed away on January 8, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bernard Pearson was born to Bernard and Zada
6(Gottardt) Pearson in Moline on March 16, 1946; he served in
7the U.S. Navy; he married Becky J. Miller in Galesburg on
8October 11, 1968; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Bernard Pearson worked as a janitor and then as a
10warehouse manager for the Moline School District, retiring
11after 30 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Bernard Pearson loved golfing and spending time
13with his family; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Bernard Pearson was preceded in death by his
15parents; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Bernard Pearson is survived by his wife; his
17children, Richard (Jill) Pearson, Cynthia (Brian)
18Pearson-Smith, and Lisa (Chad) Dusenberry; his grandchildren,
19Russell Pearson, Sara Pearson, Anna Smith, Samuel Smith, Jacob
20Dusenberry, and Zada Dusenberry; his sisters, Peggy Tollenaer,

1Patricia (Bill) Sandoval, and Becki (Greg) Boswell; and his
2brothers, Jack (Etta) Pearson, Steven (Kay) Pearson, Mark
3(Ginny) Scott, James (Diane) Wince, and Terry (Julie) Wince;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Bernard H. "Pete" Pearson Jr. and extend our sincere
8condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
9him; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Bernard Pearson as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
