SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Rollie "Dave" McKitrick of Moline, who
4passed away on January 14, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dave McKitrick was born to Albert and Betty Edna
6(French) McKitrick in Ottumwa, Iowa on February 12, 1948; he
7graduated from United Township High School in 1966; he served
8in the U.S. Air Force from 1969 to 1971 during the Vietnam era;
9he married Clarlanona Licht in November 1966, and they later
10divorced; he had a significant other, Roberta Wood, for the
11past many years, and she preceded him in death in 2021; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Dave McKitrick worked as a mechanic for several
13school districts throughout his career; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Dave McKitrick most enjoyed spending time with
15his grandchildren; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Dave McKitrick was preceded in death by his
17daughter, Crystal Westerlund; his father, Albert McKitrick;
18and his brothers, Steve McKitrick and Kenneth McKitrick; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Dave McKitrick is survived by his mother, Betty
20Edna McKitrick; his children, Shelly (Mark) Hoover, Tracy

1(David) Prochaska, Regina (Adam) Versluis, David McKitrick,
2and Jessica McKitrick; his sisters, Mary (Ross) Beedle and
3Ruth Rupe; his brother, Bob (Kathy) McKitrick; his 12
4grandchildren; and his seven great-grandchildren; therefore,
5be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Rollie "Dave" McKitrick and extend our sincere condolences to
9his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Dave McKitrick as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
