SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Shyree Adrianna Pullen, who passed
4away on January 24, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Shyree Pullen was born to the late Sharla Rosanna
6Pullen and Pierre Jackson in Little Rock, Arkansas on December
724, 1992; she committed to her faith at an early age and was
8baptized at the First Baptist Church of Melrose Park; later,
9she became a member of St. John AME Church in Aurora, where she
10was a member of the young adult ministry; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Shyree Pullen graduated from Waubonsee Valley
12High School in Aurora and then matriculated at Northern
13Illinois University, where she excelled in biology, chemistry,
14and the creative arts; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Shyree Pullen enjoyed a variety of interesting
16experiences; she served as a page at Oxford University in
17England and participated in a music festival at the Vatican in
18Rome and in Venice, Italy; she was active with the Delta Sigma
19Theta Sorority, Inc. Jabberwock Cotillion and earned the title
20of Ms. Jabberwock 2010; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Shyree Pullen lived a purposeful life and will be

1remembered for her vibrant smile, warm personality, generous
2spirit, and willingness to help and serve others; therefore,
3be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Shyree Adrianna Pullen and extend our sincere condolences to
7her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Shyree Pullen as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
