SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Gregory D. Vogelsang of Rock Island,
4who passed away on January 16, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gregory Vogelsang was born in Pekin to Arthur and
6Charlotte (Howard) Vogelsang on January 14, 1955; he served in
7the U.S. Navy and married Mary A. Talbot in Rock Island on May
83, 1997; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Gregory Vogelsang was employed for many years at
10Stetson Building Products in Rock Island, where he was a
11supervisor; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Gregory Vogelsang was an avid fan of the Chicago
13Bears and Cubs and loved fishing; his favorite times were
14those spent with family and friends; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Gregory Vogelsang was preceded in death by his
16grandson, Tyson Thompson; his parents; his brothers, Mark and
17Jim Vogelsang; and his sister, Debbie Koelling; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Gregory Vogelsang is survived by his wife, Mary;
19his children, Race Vogelsang, Claye (Nora) Vogelsang, Michael
20(Melanie) Talbot, Melissa Charlton, Stacey (Joe) Grimstad,

1Johnna Charlton, and Samantha (Jay) Steines; his
2grandchildren, Jax Vogelsang, Cylis Vogelsang, Joseph Talbot,
3Nicole Talbot, Isabella Talbot, Justice Charlton, Jakob Weber,
4Cheyeane Stanley, Hailey Stanley, Katelyn Stanley, Paige
5Stanley, Sabrina Bufford, Tabitha Charlton, "Sonny" Charlton,
6Skye Ensley, Zachary Steines, Dominick, Steines, and Elliot
7Steines; his great-grandchildren, Kaden, Lucas, T.J., and
8Cali; his brother, Joe (Christy) Vogelsang; Vicky Robertson;
9and his brother-in-law, Kenny Koelling; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Gregory D. Vogelsang and extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Gregory Vogelsang as an expression
17of our deepest sympathy.
