SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Harrison Lee "Bud" Johnson, who passed
4away on January 12, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bud Johnson was born on May 4, 1988; he attended
6Saint Sabina Academy from 1991 to 2002; while attending Leo
7Catholic High School, he played center on the varsity football
8team and often volunteered as the statistician for basketball
9games and during practices; he also received a perfect score
10in his Industrial Art class for his ability to construct a
11functional HVAC system; he graduated in May 2006; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Bud Johnson worked as a camp counselor at The ARK
13of Sabina during the summer of 2002, where he was recognized
14for his intuitive and gentle nature; he made his decisions
15from the heart and absolutely loved working with kids; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Bud Johnson was a protective, tender, and
17quick-witted jokester who lived bravely with mental illness;
18he made friends easily and had an undying love for his family;
19and
 
20    WHEREAS, Bud Johnson is survived by his mother, Katrice M.
21Kendall; his grandfather, Henry M. Kendall; his aunts, Rhonda

1and Carla Kendall; his first cousins, Aaron Kendall, Vermail
2Price, John Sellers, Cyria Sansom, Darius Hillery, and
3Meshelle Washington; his second cousins, Vahlana Kendall,
4Rayowa Hillery, Monroe Thompson Jr., and Vania Kendall; his
5sister, Angela Davis; and his nephew, Ashton Watkins;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Harrison Lee "Bud" Johnson and extend our sincere condolences
10to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
11it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Bud Johnson as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
