SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Henry C. Price of Rock Island, who
4passed away on December 4, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Henry Price was born to Edward Sr. and Gretchen
6(Bassett) Price in Dwight, Kansas on March 21, 1932, the
7oldest of 13 children; he attended schools in Arkansas; he
8moved to Moline in 1949 then joined the U.S. Navy in 1950; he
9served four years in the Navy on two different ships during the
10Korean Conflict; he married Joan Duesterhaus at First Lutheran
11Church in Moline on April 16, 1955; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Henry Price worked at John Deere Plow/Planter
13Works, Moline for 27 and a half years; he later worked at
14Teske's in the lawn mower shop for 15 years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Henry Price was a member of Union 434 East Moline
16and Moline VFW #2153; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Henry Price was a Green Bay Packers and Chicago
18Cubs fan; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Henry Price was preceded in death by his parents;
20his son, Steven Price; and four brothers; and

1    WHEREAS, Henry Price is survived by his wife of 66 years,
2Joan; his children, Michelle (Bill) Kopcho and Colleen (Mike)
3Buckwalter; his grandchildren, Marc Kopcho (Kristen Dietz),
4Seth (Ashley) Buckwalter, and Elizabeth Buckwalter; his
5step-great-grandsons, Brody, Greyson, and Finn; three sisters;
6one brother; and his several nieces and nephews; therefore, be
7it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Henry C. Price and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Henry Price as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
