SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Mia Catherine Dusek of Bartonville,
4who passed away on February 27, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mia Dusek was born in Peoria on April 3, 2006; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Mia Dusek was a sophomore at Limestone Community
7High School; she was an incredible athlete but an even better
8human being; she had a warm and caring heart, a ready smile,
9and a magnetic personality, becoming friends instantly with
10everyone she met; and
 
11    WHEREAS, In her younger years, Mia Dusek enjoyed riding
12horses and competed in barrel racing; she loved sports,
13playing basketball, volleyball, baseball, and softball and
14running track; she made friends with her teammates and
15opponents alike, and treasured her family above all else; she
16will be remembered as a bright light; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Mia Dusek was preceded in death by her maternal
18grandmother, Eileen Beaupre, and her paternal grandparents,
19Howard and Catherine Dusek; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Mia Dusek is survived by her parents, Deb (Jim

1Manning) Beaupre and Curt Dusek; her sisters, Madison Dusek,
2Crista Altergott, and Cara (Jason) Rushing; her two brothers,
3Kole Dusek and Reece Dusek; her maternal grandfather, Joseph
4Beaupre; her nephew, Ryder Rushing; and her two nieces, Kaley
5Rushing and Sienna Altergott; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Mia Catherine Dusek and extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Mia Dusek as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
