SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Larry Lozell Nunn of Rock Island, who
4passed away on March 4, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Larry Nunn was born in Moline to Albert and Ellen
6Nunn on March 11, 1948; he served with the U.S. Army during the
7Vietnam War and married Lorraine Meredith at Duck Creek Park
8on September 30, 2006; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Larry Nunn was employed as a Flight
10Standardization Engineer with the Iowa National Guard; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Larry Nunn was a member of Heritage Church in
12Rock Island and the Veterans of Foreign War; he was Past
13Commander of the Rock Island V.F.W. and past member of the
14V.F.W. Council and Past 8th District Commander; his hobbies
15included trains, sitting by the water, and traveling; he loved
16attending his grandchildren's sporting events and school
17functions and spending time with his family; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Larry Nunn was preceded in death by his parents
19and his siblings, Jack Nunn, Mary Kay Fanning, Robert Nunn,
20and Terry McCleary; and

1    WHEREAS, Larry Nunn is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his
2children, Krista Sloan, Jason (Sarah) Nunn, Audra (Fletcher)
3Ford, and Ashley (Chad) Jacks; his grandchildren, Nick Krebs,
4Miranda Sloan, Stephen (Heather) Sloan, Trevor, Carson, and
5Maddox Nunn, Cammeron, Ashlyn, Logan, Isabella, and Carter
6Ford, Colby Zank, and Andrew and Emily Jacks; his
7great-grandchildren, Elsie and Kalvin Krebs, Lily Bessert, and
8Parker Sloan; his special nephew, Jim (Julie) Fanning; and his
9siblings, David (Jody) Nunn, Richard Nunn, and Mike (Mary Jo)
10McCleary; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Larry Lozell Nunn and extend our sincere condolences to his
14family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Larry Nunn as an expression of our
18deepest sympathy.
